BLDC Inverters

SMOTO BLDC inverters convert battery current into the motor's controlled phase currents, engineered through switching frequency, field-oriented control and power class for efficient, precise integration into your drive system.

BLDC Inverters – SMOTO

The inverters control speed and torque with field-oriented control and switching frequencies of up to 50 kHz PWM. Depending on the layout, that yields up to +5% higher efficiency, precise current control and smooth motor operation. What matters beyond that depends on the drive – from efficiency for range and flight time to the dynamics of the control loop. We lay the inverter out for what your system needs.

Your inverter adapts to your drive system: voltage and current class, form factor and installation space are laid out for the application. Control signals and interfaces are integrated into your control and communication system, depending on the application via PWM, analog signals, CAN or other bus and protocol variants. Cooling, connection and firmware parameterization are aligned so the controller fits into your system, device or platform.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a BLDC inverter?

A BLDC inverter (motor controller) is the power electronics that convert battery DC into the controlled phase currents a brushless motor needs. It sets the speed and torque of the motor via pulse width modulation (PWM).

What PWM frequency do SMOTO inverters use?

SMOTO inverters operate at up to 50 kHz PWM and deliver up to +5% higher efficiency compared with the competition. That pays off wherever efficiency and range matter.

What are the benefits of field-oriented control (FOC)?

FOC keeps the current optimally aligned with the rotor, giving maximum torque per amp, higher efficiency and smoother, quieter operation across the speed range.

What applications are the inverters designed for?

From UAV and VTOL to motorsport and e-mobility, robotics, automation, medical technology and dual-use – built for the efficiency, control quality and robustness each application requires.
